Top 3 Sports Leagues

As a huge fan of sports I have been fortunate to be able to attend many different sporting events live and follow the sports quite closely. My top three sports leagues are the MLB, the NFL, and the NHL. All of these leagues are entertaining and offer unique qualities that make them special to me.

First off, the MLB (Major League Baseball) is my favorite league to follow and watch in person. In the MLB each of the 30 teams plays a 162 game season and only 8 of those teams get to compete for the final prize the World Series. Not everybody likes to watch baseball on T.V. and I don't blame them. The games usually last about 2 and a half hours. However, once you watch baseball live the game completly changes. Watching the ball fly out of the pitchers hand at 100 mph will amaze you. Watching the ball sail over the fence for a home run is quite a joy to see as the player trudges around the bases and the crowd is pumped. The Fireworks going off makes it more exciting as well. What puts baseball ahead of any other league is the atmosphere that you get put in as you enter the ball park. You would think your at the carnival. As soon as you enter the gates at Safeco field (where the mariners play) you get offered all sorts of goodies such as popcorn, nuts, crackerjacks, garlic fries, and the famous foot long hot dog. The ballpark is a relaxed place to hang with friends and family. I'll always love the MLB.

Second, is the NFL (National Football League). The NFL is a physical game that injures more then 300 players per season. When you go to the arena to watch football there are so many things that getted you pumped before you go through the gates. There are hundreds of people outside cooking hot dogs, burgers, you name it. Those are called the tailgate parties and its incredible seeing how pumped the people get before they watch the game. The game as I mentionied is physical and the hits are what makes the game. I never knew how loud the hitting was as you can't hear it on T.V. that great but live the hits are extremely loud and make everyone watching cringe. I couldn't imagine getting tackled by a 300 pound lineman boy would it hurt. Football is an exciting game to watch, alot of the games go down to the wire and the winner is declared during the final two minutes of the game. It keeps the fans on their feet and the game intense.

Lastly, the NHL provides an intense enviroment where the fans our consistency filling up the stands (in Canada) which results in a physical battle between the two teams. The NHL has six canadian teams which is most out of the leagues that I have mentioned. In Canada you can never get enough hockey as you can watch a game every night on T.V. The atmosphere at the arena is intense fans are constantly standing on there feet and there is no doubt that GM place has been the loudest place I've ever been to watch something sport related. What puts hockey third out of my leagues is it just seems to repetitive to me. The same teams are constantly the ones competing for Lord Stanley and games really dont differ from one another. The NHL is a great league don't get me wrong. It just doesn't compete with the MLB and NFL.

In conclusion, I have told you some details about my top three leagues. The MLB is no doubt my favorite, followed by the NFL and the NHL. All three leagues are great to follow and there is no question that these sports leagues are an important part of my life. From going to the ballpark to wearing your favorite teams jersey ( I don't do it to be gangsta.....Ha! ) Sport Leagues are an important thing to me.

  1. Your depth of discussion on each of your blogs is excellent. Your entries are organized, you give quality support for your arguments and you are obviously passionate about your subject matter. You also provide a large and varied range of examples and information about each of your blog topics. You do need to proofread a bit to eliminate small grammar errors such as the there/their issue. Otherwise, excellent work.
